Township police are seeking the public’s help in finding who is responsible for an attack on a driver on Willow Avenue.
Police received a 9-1-1 call at about 12:30 a.m. May 27 from a woman who reported that someone had thrown a rock through her car’s window. The woman, who was not identified, told police that someone had put a lawn chair in the middle of the road, forcing her to slow down, when her car’s passenger window shattered, according to a press release from the FRanklin Townsip Police Department.
Neither the woman nor her 4-year-old daughter, who was a passenger in the car, was hurt, according to the release. A rock was discovered on the car’s passenger side floor.
Multiple police officers searched for whoever threw the rock, but the search was unsuccessful, although police said the believe that the rock was thrown by an area teenager.
The incident has been turned over to the Franklin Township Police Department’s Juvenile Bureau for investigation, according to the release. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Franklin Township Police Department at 732-873-2300.
