Police Log: Sept. 9-10, 2013

A Pennsylvania woman was cited Sept. 9 for careless driving after the car she was driving struck the rear end of another stopped car on School House Road.

Police said the woman, Keeshia M. Muhammad,  said she did not stop in time.

The other vehicle was driven by Nicholas Gerardi of Hillsborough, who told police he was stopped at the light at Weston Canal Road when his car was hit.

Jimnelly P. Salcedo of Spotswood was cited for careless driving on Sept. 10 after she was involved in a collision at Rolling Hills Road and Route 27.

Police said Salcedo pulled out onto Rt. 27 from Rollings Hills, and struck a car driven by Edward A. Rappleyea of Jackson, which was traveling south on Rt. 27.

Salcedo told police that she thought she had enough time to make her turn.

Rappleyea told police that Salcedo did not stop at the stop sign.

Aaron Morrison of Somerset was cited Sept. 10 for careless driving after the car he was driving rear-ended another auto on Weston Road.

Morrison said he tried to stop, but could not stop in time before his car hit one driven by Jennifer Olivo of Somerset.

Cars driven by Glenward D. Hayden of Hillsborough and Stephen R. Schragger of Trenton collided Sept. 1o at the Route 287 ramp on Easton Avenue.

Police said Schrager did not properly yield the right-of-way to Hayden on the ramp before entering it from Easton Avenue.
