Hamilton Street Shooting Under Investigation; Victim In Stable Condition

A 19-year-old man is in stable condition after having been shot in his midsection during the evening of June 9.

The man was found near Sidney Place and Hamilton Street at about 9:26 p.m., according to a press release on the incident from the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office.

Police responded to the area on a report of shots being fired, according to the report.

The man told investigators that an unknown male fired a weapon three times at him and his two friends, according to the release. The shooter then fled on foot.

The victim and his friends were not able to provide any additional information, according to the release.
