Nov. 6 A Ralph Street resident told police that someone stole $35 out of her purse.

Oct. 24 The owner of a store on Hamilton Street reported that someone stole $204 worth of alcohol on Aug. 12. The victim said four bottles of Johnnie Walker Black had been taken.

Oct. 15 A car driven by Amadeo Torres-Torres of New Brunswick struck a dislodged manhole cover on Route 27, damaging the front and rear axles of his car.

Sept. 29 Dominique Yates of New Brunswick was cited for careless driving after her car rear-ended one on Easton Avenue driven by Rebekah Livengood of Edison. Livengood said she was slowing for traffic when her car was hit.

Sept. 25 A McGuffy Road resident reported that his work laptop had been stolen from his unlocked car. The laptop was valued at $300.

Sept. 18 A MacBook Air laptop worth $1,000 and $40 in cash was stolen from a car owned by a Jonathan Place resident. The owner said he thought the car was unlocked.

Aug. 4 Christina Meleo of Franklin Park was cited for careless driving after her car ran off the road on South Middlebush Drive and struck a street sign and utility pole. Meleo told police that she had bent down to grab a hair clip that fell on the floor of her car when she lost control of her car.

July 30 Ismael Turcios of Elizabeth was cited for careless driving after his car struck a car driven by Myashia Clark of Somerset on Hamilton Street. Turcios was attempting a left turn from A&J Tire store when the accident occurred.

July 25 Cars driven by Jacquelin Perrine of Kendall Park and Emma Singh of Monmouth Junction collided while they were both backing out of parking spaces in the Route 27 Stop n Shop lot.

July 23 Kairy Quinonez of Carteret was cited for careless driving after her car rear-ended one driven on Route 27 by Lauren Lubas of North Brunswick. Lubas said she was stopped in traffic when her car was hit, Quinonez said Lubas slammed on her brakes, leaving no time to avoid the accident.
