More than $23,000 in items were stolen from a Delar Parkway homeowner, police said. Police said the victim, who was not identified, reported on July 27 that the items were stolen from their home sometime between July 23 and July 26.

An employee at the Franklin Park Car Wash on Route 27 lost part of a finger July 26 while cleaning a car, police said. Police said the 38-year-old employee, who was not identified, was cleaning the left front wheel rim on a 2005 Hyundai XG3 when his left middle finger got caught in the rim.

July 18 Two bottles of Snapple, a toothbrush and a package of Tyson Wings, valued at $10.31, were stolen from Rite Aid Pharmacy on Hamilton Street. A store employee told police that three women were seen placing the items in a white purse. The women were not apprehended.

Township police are investigating the armed robbery of a cab driver on Hempstead Drive. Police Sgt. Philip Rizzo said that just after midnight on July 18, police received a call from a cabby who said he’d been robbed.

The Good Fortune Supermarket on Route 27 remained closed July 8 after an electrical cord coming in contact with a lobster tank sparked an early morning fire. When township Officer Patrick Clyne responded to a fire alarm call at the supermarket at about 4:46 a.m., he saw heavy smoke coming through the store’s front doors, he reported.
