Waldorf, MD – The Southern Maryland Blue Crabs (14-26) salvaged the series finale against the Somerset Patriots (23-18) 4-0 Thursday afternoon at Regency Furniture Stadium. The Patriots only mustered two hits all game and ended their seven game road trip with a 3-4 mark.

“We were kept off balance today,” said Matt Fields, who picked up one of Somerset’s two hits. “It was just one of those days. That’s baseball. Sometimes they are better than us, sometimes we are better than them.”
