Atlantic League Names Groundskeeping Award In Ray Cipperly’s Honor

(Denver, CO, Oct. 17, 2016) – The Atlantic League of Professional Baseball today announced that its annual groundskeeping award has been renamed to honor former Somerset Patriots groundskeeper Ray Cipperly. The award will now be known as the “Ray Cipperly Award for Groundskeeping Excellence” from this point forward.

“One aspect of our ballparks that fans always remember is the high quality surface our clubs play on,” said Atlantic League President Rick White. “TD Bank Ballpark’s field has been no exception, and it was Ray’s tireless efforts which made it so widely admired throughout the league and professional baseball.”
