Young Poets Receive Township Council Commendations

Five young local poets were honored at the Nov. 26 Township Council meeting.

The five participated in the Franklin Township Cultural Arts Council’s Young Poets Forum, held Nov. 9.

The five students were Diya Arya, Angelica Corella, Ashley Jankowski, Hannah Sawyerr and Kendra Singh. Corella and Jankowski were on hand at the council meeting to accept their commendations.

The council commended the poets for their “poised and professional delivery of their poetry” at the forum.
