Workshop to Increase Global Competitiveness

The Somerset County Business Partnership, the regional Chamber of Commerce serving Somerset County, will present the second workshop in a series intended to support member businesses interested in expanding their global presence.

On Tuesday, April 28, 2015, the Partnership will convene the Global Special Interest Group (Global SIG) at the Somerset County Business Partnership, 360 Grove Street at Route 22 East in Bridgewater, New Jersey. The meeting is scheduled from 8:30 A.M. to 9:30 A.M.

The April meeting will be facilitated by Candida Marques, founder and CEO of Global Arrival, LLC, a consultancy that helps senior leaders acclimate quickly to, and lead effectively in foreign countries.

The meeting will focus on helping business leaders find their “Global Leadership Persona™,” which enables them to bring the best of their native intelligence to a foreign culture while creating respect and loyalty among those they lead.

The Global SIG networking group provides the infrastructure and venue where members learn international best practices; master communication techniques, and develop a global leadership skills that build awareness and develop strong global leaders. The roundtable format allows members the opportunity to bring their concerns, issues, questions or problems to the table.

The workshop is open to all members, including the corporate professional who needs to improve a global presence and day-to-day internal global operations and small business owners who want to develop deeper understanding of how culture influences their day-to-day business practices.
