Women in Business Golf & Networking Event Scheduled

The Somerset County Business Partnership “Women in Business” group has scheduled the 6th annual “Golf and Lunch for Women in Business” on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 from 10:00 A.M. to 1:30 P.M. The event will take place at Basking Ridge Country Club, 185 Madisonville Road in Basking Ridge, New Jersey.

From 10:00 a.m. to noon, both non-golfers and experienced players will have the opportunity to work with the Basking Ridge golf professionals to improve technique. Areas to be covered include full swing; putting; pitching and chipping; and an on course experience on a Par 3 hole.

More experienced participants will have the option of playing a 9-hole Scramble while the clinic is taking place.

The clinic will be followed by networking and a lunch. Door prizes will be awarded.

Sponsorship for the event is provided by the Center for Educational Advancement and Certified Financial Services.

Basking Ridge Country Club opened as Pennbrook Golf Club on July 2, 1926. It has developed into a challenging, beautifully landscaped facility offering customized memberships. Over the past few years a significant financial investment has resulted in a longer and more challenging golf course. The Golf Academy is open to the public and Delicious Heights OUTPOST is the club’s public dining facility.

“The Golf & Lunch event is one of our most popular gatherings for women in business,” commented Diana Sieberg, Vice-president of the Business Partnership. “Non-golfers have an opportunity to gain experience to get them on the road to playing a lifetime sport while experienced golfers have an opportunity to play and network in a forum where valuable business contacts are often made.”

Pre-registration is required and may be accomplished online at http://web.scbp.org/events or by calling 908-218-4300. Fee for the clinic and lunch is $60 for Business Partnership members and $80 for non-members. Fee for networking and lunch only is $30 for members and $45 for non-members. Fee to include the 9-Hole Scramble is $80 for members and $100 for non- members.

“Women in Business” is a Business Partnership initiative directed at the specific needs of women and their businesses. The purpose of the group is to provide learning opportunities about other women-owned businesses. Focus areas include mind, family, society, body, and finances.
