Warriors On The (Academic) Move

Wheaton College student Aaron Policastro of Franklin Park recently performed in the 2018 Commencement Celebration Concert. Policastro played double bass with the Symphony Orchestra.

Heather Attanasio of Somerset has been named to the President’s List at West Virginia University for the Spring 2018 semester. Attanasio just completed her freshman year and is majoring in Nursing.

The University of Hartford is pleased to announce Sara Kohut of Somerset has been named to its Dean’s List for Spring 2018.

Derek Balbierz from Somerset has been named to the Spring 2018 Dean’s List at the University at Albany. Students named to the Dean’s List earned at least a 3.5 GPA.

The following local students have been named to the University of Delaware Dean’s List for the Spring 2018 semester:

Brendan Benson of Franklin Park, Connor DeVoe, Jailyn Frazier, Brittany Georges, and Navya Jagarlamudi, all of Somerset. To meet eligibility requirements for the Dean’s List, a student must be enrolled full-time and earn a GPA of 3.33 or above (on a 4.0 scale) for the semester.

Shawn Thomas Gale of Somerset graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Connecticut.

University of the Sciences held a bachelor’s degree conferment ceremony on Friday, May 18, 2018, to recognize graduates who received a bachelor’s degree during the 2017-18 academic year. Tejumade Akande of Somerset graduated with a bachelor of science in pharmaceutical and healthcare studies degree and Krina Patel of Franklin Park graduated with a bachelor of science in health science degree.

University of the Sciences recognized graduates as part of the University’s 197th Commencement celebration in Philadelphia, Pa., on Wednesday, May 23, 2018. Nicolette Cerminaro of Somerset graduated with a doctor of pharmacy degree and a minor in pharmaceutiacal and healthcare business, Doris Forestal of Franklin Park graduated with a PhD in health policy degree and Yati Patel of Somerset graduated with a MS in physician assistant studies degree.
