Township Woman Seriously Hurt In Auto-Truck Crash

A 17-year-old Franklin Park woman was seriously injured April 5 after the car she was  driving collided with a Freightliner truck at Olcott Street and Amwell Road, police said.

Police said the woman was making a left turn from Olcott to Amwell in a Honda Accord when the accident happened.

Upon arrival, police found the woman, who they did not identify, suffering from a serious head wound. The woman was taken to a local trauma unit, police said.

The Freightliner was driven by Forrest Voelker, 54, of Somerset.

Police said the accident is still under investigation.
