Township Council Puts Another Liquor License Up For Sale

Several months after having sold the first retail consumption liquor license in 13 years, the Township Council on March 12 put another one up for sale.

The minimum bid for this one is $225,000, a $25,000 increase over the one sold last November.

Bids are due to the Township Clerk’s office by noon on April 24, and all qualified bidders will be announced on May 1.

The bids will be opened on May 8, and the license could be awarded at the June 11 Township Council meeting.

On Nov. 8, 2018, the Council sold a consumption license to the company opening the Samudhra restaurant In Franklin Park, in Franklin Towne Center.

That license’s minimum bid was $200,000; Samudhra bought it for $207,279.
