Somerset Patriots To Welcome SEAL Team SIX Retired Captain Ron Yeaw

Bridgewater, NJ – The Somerset Patriots will welcome retired U.S. Navy Captain Ron Yeaw of SEAL Team SIX to TD Bank Ballpark for the team’s game against the York Revolution scheduled for 7:05 pm on Friday, August 17th.

Yeaw will be the team’s special guest and will throw out a ceremonial first pitch before the game. He will also address the front office staff and the team earlier in the afternoon.

Yeaw is a proven leader and senior manager with extensive operational and managerial experience in the military and private sector professional services and security industries.

The retired U.S. Navy Captain has close to 30 years of service to our country from 1965 to 1994. During that time, Yeaw was Commander of SEAL Team SIX, the world’s premier maritime counterterrorist force that consisted of 220 hand-picked members and over 500 support personnel.

Within the Naval Special Warfare Community, Yeaw served in a variety of highly competitive Navy and joint service operational, command, and staff positions. These include commands of Underwater Demolition Team 21, SEAL Team SIX, and Chief of Staff of the Counterterrorist Joint Task Force.

During his distinguished military career, Yeaw was awarded 45 medals and ribbons including the Superior Service Medal, Navy Legion of Merit, five Defense and Navy Meritorious Service Medals, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry, the Purple Heart, and nine medals with the combat “V” for valor including four Bronze Stars.

The 2018 Somerset Patriots Season presented by Ford is underway and features the team’s 20th Season at TD Bank Ballpark. The team has clinched a playoff spot already by winning the 2018 Liberty Division First Half Championship. For tickets, visit www.somersetpatriots.com.
