Somerset Patriots To Host Ballpark Comic Con

2015 News PageBridgewater, NJ- The Somerset Patriots will host their Third Annual Ballpark Comic Con at TD Bank Ballpark on Saturday, June 6th. The event will begin at 4:00 pm and last throughout the game.


Ballpark Comic Con offers fans and comic books lovers a unique experience combining family fun, baseball, and all things comics.


The first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a special Ballpark Comic Con T-Shirt presented by Hunterdon Orthopaedic Institute.


Fans are encouraged to dress up as comic characters and participate in costume contests for great prizes. Costume contests will be Best Male Costume, Best Female Costume, and Best Kid Costume.


From 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, fans will be able to take pictures with Avengers Captain America and Thor.


Comic artist Will Torres will be on site and draw exclusive sketch covers for fans in attendance.


Vendors currently include A Comic Adventure, Wild Pig Comics, Bazooka Jeff’s Batcave, USS Avenger, and Mirrors By Design.


Fans will also have a chance to enter to win Weekend Passes to New York Comic Con to be held at the Javits Center from Thursday, October 8th through Sunday, October 11th.


Tickets for the event start at $10.50 and include Ballpark Comic Con admission and the Somerset Patriots game scheduled for 7:05 pm against the Lancaster Barnstormers.
