Revolution Top Patriots 4-2

Bridgewater, NJ- The York Revolution (18-18, 50-49) defeated the Somerset Patriots (21-17, 56-45) 4-2 at TD Bank Ballpark on Saturday evening.

The Revolution took an early 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning on an RBI double by Melky Mesa and an RBI single by Jared Mitchell.

York extended the lead on a sacrifice fly by Ryan Dent in the top of the second inning to make the score 3-0.

The Patriots got on the board with a solo home run by Nate Coronado (6) in the bottom of the fifth inning to cut the lead to 3-1.

Coronado struck again with his second homer (7) of the game in the bottom of the seventh inning for a one-run game.

Telvin Nash’s sacrifice fly in the top of the ninth gave the Revolution a 4-2 advantage, which would be the final.

James Pugliese (2-1) picked up the win with two scoreless innings pitched. Nate Roe (4-3) suffered the loss, allowing two runs on three hits in an inning pitched. Junior Rincon earned his 10th save of the season.
