Police Log: Oct. 15, 2013

William Anderson of Bound Brook was cited Oct. 15 for careless driving after he backed his car into a parked car, owned by Ruth Walkoviak of Manville, at Mandell’s Plaza on Cedar Grove Lane.

Jacquelin Stone of Kingston was cited for careless driving Oct. 15 after her car struck a car driven by Dawn Fry of Whitehouse Station. Police said Stone was backing our of her driveway on Laurel Avenue when her car hit Fry’s. Stone told police she was trying to not hit her mailbox.

Cynthia Carson of Manville told police Oct. 15 that she dropped her water bottle in her car while traveling slowly on School House Road, near Elizabeth Avenue, causing it to rear-end a car driven by Kendra Bullock of Somerset. Bullock said her car was just starting to move in traffic when it was hit. Police noted there was no damage to either car.

Brian Young of Dayton told police Oct. 15 that he was backing out of a parking space at Tastee Subs on Route 27 when he heard a car blow its horn, but couldn’t see the car. His car backed into one driven by Diane Carpenter of North Brunswick, which had just pulled into the lot. Carpenter said she honked her horn, but to no avail.
