Life Story: Mary ‘Millie’ Toth, 92; Active With Township Senior Citizens

Mrs. Millie (Lagowski) Toth passed away peacefully Jan. 6 at St. Peter’s University Medical Center in New Brunswick at the age of 92.

Mrs. Toth was born in Portage, Pa. and moved to the Somerset area as a teenager. She remained a resident of Franklin Township for the remainder of her life. She was long time parishioner of St. Joseph Parish in New Brunswick and was currently a parishioner at Our Lady of Peace in North Brunswick. She was employed by Musical String in New Brunswick and Mack Truck before going to work for Johnson & Johnson. She retired as a Line Supervisor after 47 years with J&J. She was active in the Franklin Township Senior Citizens.

Mrs. Toth was pre-deceased by her mother and father, Stanley and Agnes Lagowski, her husband, Geza Toth, sisters Jane Talkowski and Julia Puskas, her brother Francis “Alfie” Lagowski and best friend Mary Kucharczyk.

Mrs. Toth is survived by her siblings John Lagowski and Verna Wolenski, beloved nieces, Joyce Hendricks, Judy Zavatchin, Patricia Ricicki, Kathy Langer, Juanita Kreeger, Theresa Hrapsky and Donna Panacewicz and nephews, Charles Talkowski, Ray Talkowski, Joe Lagowski, Tom Lagowski, Francis Wolenski and Jimmy and Bob Puskas along with many great and great-great nieces and nephews who she so very much loved.

Visiting will be held at the Gleason Funeral Home, 1360 Hamilton St. on Jan. 9 from 4-8 p.m.

Funeral services will begin on Jan. 10 at 9:15 a.m. at the Gleason Funeral Home, followed by a 10 a.m. funeral mass at Our Lady of Peace R.C. Church in North Brunswick. Interment will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery in New Brunswick.
