Life Story: John Snyder, 64; Longtime Township Resident

John Snyder passed away on May 23 at the Abingdon Care Center in Green Brook. He was 64 years old.

Mr. Snyder was born in Somerville and was a longtime resident of Franklin Township. He moved to Hillsborough about 25 years ago. He was employed by Kids R Us warehouse in Somerset in the packing and shipping department. He was a life member of the Somerset Volunteer Fire & Rescue Company No. 1. When he wasn’t at home or working, the firehouse was his favorite place to be. He was a Rutgers Football fan and a John Wayne movie lover. He also was a die-hard WrestleMania fan with Hulk Hogan being his favorite wrestler

John was pre-deceased by his mother Audrey Snyder, father Howard Snyder and nephew Morgan Pellowski.

He is survived by his sister Judy Pellowski and her husband Michael of Hillsborough, niece Melanie LaPlaca and her husband Nick of Flemington, nephews Matthew Pellowski and his wife Anastasiaof Old Bridge and Martin Pellowski of Hillsborough, great niece Skyeler Pellowski of Old bridge and great nephew Loukas Pellowski also of Old Bridge and his aunt Jean Snyder of Somerset.

A funeral service will begin at 11:15 AM on Wednesday May 30, 2018 at the Gleason Funeral Home 1360 Hamilton Street in Somerset. Please arrive by 11 AM. Visiting will be held on Tuesday from 6-9 PM at the funeral home.
