Life Story: Dominador Mandapat, 69; U.S. Army Veteran, Retired Med Tech
Dominador Mandapat passed away December 22 at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in Somerville. He was 69 years of age.
Mr. Mandapat was born in the Philippines and came to the United States as a young man. He lived for a time in Seattle before relocating to the New Brunswick area. He has resided in the Somerset section of Franklin Township since 1974.
He served our country faithfully in the United States Army and worked as a Medical Technician at Overlook Hospital, Princeton Medical Center and University Hospital in Newark for over 25 years before retiring.
Mr. Mandapat enjoyed cooking and gardening and liked to watch tennis and soccer matches.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years Evelyn Mandapat of Somerset and their sons Greg and Jonathan Mandapat. He is also survived by his siblings Reynaldo and Leandro Mandapat and Norma Bautista along with many nieces and nephews.
Visiting will be held from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. December 26 at the Gleason Funeral Home, 1360 Hamilton Street. A funeral service will begin at 10:30 AM, visitors are welcome at 9:45 on December 27 at the Gleason Funeral Home and committal services will follow at Franklin Memorial Park in North Brunswick.
