Life Story: David Moynihan Jr., 48; Volunteered With Township Animal Shelter

Mr. David Moynihan Jr. passed away October 9 at his home in Bound Brook. He was 48 years old.

Mr. Moynihan was born in Edison and grew up in the Somerset section of Franklin Township before moving to Bound Brook. He was employed by Shop Rite in Bound Brook and as a lover of animals had volunteered his time with the Franklin Township Animal Shelter.

He is survived by his parents David and Natalie Moynihan of Somerset and his siblings and their spouses, John Moynihan and his wife Wilma of Somerset, Colleen Herring and husband Dennis of North Carolina, Jim Moynihan and wife Valerie of California, Mary Beth Moynihan of Somerset, Brian Moynihan and wife Suzanne of Westfield and Carolyn Follansbee and husband Andy of Clinton along with many nieces and nephews.

Visiting will be held at the Gleason Funeral Home on Sunday, October 14th from 4:00 to 7:00 Funeral services will be on Monday, October 15th day at 10:30 AM at St. Matthias Church in Somerset. Cremation will take place privately. In lieu of flowers charitable contributions can be made in David Moynihan’s name to Second Chance for Animals, P.O. Box 5172, Somerset, NJ 08875.
