Life Story: Anita Klaiman; Former Special Education Teacher

Mrs. Anita Klaiman passed away on Thursday at her home in Somerset.

Mrs. Klaiman was born in Boston and graduated from Girls Latin High School in Boston. She earned her Bachelor’s in Education and Masters in Special Education from Kean University in New Jersey. Mrs. Klaiman was employed for many years as a Special Education Teacher in Clark .

She was a lover of the arts and would frequent Broadway shows, music concerts and performances. She also loved to play bridge and mahjong.

Mrs. Klaiman was pre deceased by her husband David Klaiman in 2007.

She is survived by her children Michelle Rubin and her husband David of Santa Cruz, CA, Carolyn Racusin and her husband Warren of Mendham and Valerie Fleischer and her husband Daniel of Newton, MA, a half-sister Sandra Bidderman of Boston, her 8 grandchildren Ramona, Zan and his wife Rainbow, Rebecca and her husband Daniel, Eric and his wife Allyson, Zachary, Jill and her husband Matt, Douglas and his fiancé Lee and Ali. She is also survived by her 3 great granddaughters Flora, Arielle and Drew.

Graveside services are being held privately. In lieu of flowers please send a donation to a charity of one’s choice or to the David H. Klaiman (1949) Memorial Scholarship Fund at Massachusetts Institute of Technology 600 Memorial Drive W98-200 Cambridge, MA. 02139-4822.
