Life Story: Andrew Covert, 23; Lifelong Township Resident

Andrew Covert passed away March 8 at his home in Somerset. He was 23 years old.

Andrew was born in Somerville and was a lifelong resident of Franklin Township. He went to Franklin Schools and Somerset County Vo-Tech. He was a mechanic by trade and worked at Jiffy lube and most recently Tom’s Auto Repair on Hamilton Street in Somerset.

He loved to be outdoors. Fishing, BMX riding camping and bow hunting were some of his pastimes.

Mr. Covert was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Dorothy and Robert Johnson.

He is survived by his parents, Kenneth and Annmarie Covert of Somerset; his grandparents, John and Jean Covert; a brother Scott Covert and his wife Rachael of Hillsborough, a sister Kristen Covert of Arizona; his nieces Madyson, Kaylee, Brielle, Jaden and Ryan and a nephew Masen.

Visiting will be held from 4-7 p.m. on March 12 at the Gleason Funeral Home 1360 Hamilton Street. A funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. March 13 at the funeral home. Please arrive by 9:45 a.m. Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery in East Millstone.
