Home Helpers and Direct Link of Somerset is celebrating its 10th anniversary by introducing two new concierge services.

Home Helpers and Direct Link of Somerset provides non-medical in home care, personal emergency response systems, vital sign monitoring, and medication management services to seniors, new and expectant mothers and any adult requiring continuing and recuperative care.

The first new service allows residents of a facility to hire a Home Helpers caregiver for 15 minute increments to help with errands like picking up dry cleaning, grocery shopping and companion transportation, according to a release from the company.

The second new service allows residents in any home situation to hire a caregiver for special local entertainment like seeing a movie, having dinner with a companion, or visiting a relative, according to the release.

“Since 2004, Home Helpers and Direct Link of Somerset has been making life easier for those in need of a helping hand by providing compassionate care in the comfort of their home,” Ion Furtuna, owner of Home Helpers and Direct Link of Somerset, said in the release. “We saw a growing need in the community for these additional services, and we wanted to be part of the solution.”

“So many people are feeling the strain of trying to care for aging loved ones, while simultaneously juggling a career and raising a family,” Furtuna said. “We’re thrilled to continuously improve our offering, either through new services or new technology, to keep up with the ever changing demographics of our community.”

Home Helpers and Direct Link offer free in-home consultations and work with clients individually to tailor flexible care plans to meet their specific needs and budgets, according to the release. Home Helpers Caregivers are available on an hourly, daily, or weekly basis. The company also offers a broad range of Direct Link personal emergency response systems to complement or supplement the caregivers’ offering.
