Help The Somerset Patriots And Rutgers Against Hunger Strike Out Hunger

RAHBridgewater, NJ- The Somerset Patriots have announced that they have partnered with Rutgers Against Hunger (RAH) to host a canned food drive during their game on Tuesday, June 16th at TD Bank Ballpark. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. against the Bridgeport Bluefish.

Rutgers is hosting Strike Out Hunger, a baseball-themed drive, to collect non-perishable food items for members of the Somerset Patriots and Rutgers community.

Fans are being asked to bring a non-perishable food donation to the game to help those in need.

As a special thank you, all fans that donate a non-perishable food item will receive a complimentary ticket to a future Somerset Patriots game.

Donations received throughout the Strike Out Hunger campaign will be distributed to food pantries and shelters across New Jersey.

“We are very happy to continue our partnership with Rutgers Against Hunger and their Strike Out Hunger initiative. It’s very sad that people in our area don’t have enough to eat and we ask our fans to help us collect food to help those in need throughout our community,” said Patrick McVerry, President/General Manager of the Somerset Patriots Baseball Club.
