FR&A Pictorial: New Owners At Little Gems Academy Welcome Fall With Festival

There were plenty of ghosts and goblins – and a few princesses – at the Fall festival open house held Oct. 31 by Little Gems Early Learning Academy on Weston Road.

The pre-school was acquired by its new owner, Sujatha Alladi, in August.

The school adheres to the teaching principles espoused by the Montessori system founder, Maria Montessori, which is “progressively nurturing each individual’s innate talents and interests to their greatest potential, in turn benefiting greater society,” according to its Web site.

After a parade in their Halloween costumes around the property, the children went “Trunk or Treating” outside, where a number of specially decorated car trucks awaited them.

Later, the children played games and went on a scavenger hunt.
