Eleanor Barr, 63, Loved Nature And Her Children

Eleanor Barr, 63 entered eternal peace on Monday, July 25th, 2016, at her home in Somerset.

Eleanor was born January 19, 1953 in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, the loving daughter of Herbert and Anne (Bartoli) Barr. Eleanor lived life a generous, kind, sweet, beautiful and loving mother of three. She was the caretaker of her parents during their later years.

A graduate from Rutgers University, she earned her degree in Criminal Justice, and was an avid artist, and enthusiast of mother nature. She loved spending time painting, drawing, swimming, and outdoors gardening. She had a love for animals, especially horses and dogs. She led a very spiritual life. Her adventurous spirit, intelligence, insightful views, and huge heart was second to none, propelling her on many exciting experiences during her time with us. Eleanor loved to laugh and her favorite times were spent with her three children.

Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Anne Barr.

She is survived by her children, Kristian, Justin and Tara Meiswinkle; her fiancé Ricky; ex-husband David Meiswinkle; her two sisters, Mary and Kitty, and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may visit on Tuesday, August 2nd from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at Gleason Funeral Home, 1360 Hamilton Street Somerset.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 3rd, 2016 at 9:30 AM at the funeral home and a Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30 AM at St. Matthias Church in Somerset. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Somerset.
