State Assemblyman Danielsen Named Chair Of Chamber’s Regulatory Oversight Committee

State Assemblyman and township resident Joe Danielsen was named chairman of the chamber’s regulatory oversight committee.

State Assemblyman Joe Danielsen (D-17) has been named chairman of the Assembly’s Regulatory Oversight/Federal Regulation Committee.

Danielsen, who was recently sworn in to his second full term as an Assemblyman, was named to the post by Assembly Speaker Craig J. Coughlin (D-19).

“I am both honored and humbled by the trust shown to me by Speaker Coughlin in naming me Chairman of the Assembly Regulatory Oversight /Federal Relations Committee,” Danielsen said in a statement.” With the continued support of my colleagues on this critical committee, I look forward to doing the people’s business and addressing the challenging issues that come before us.”

“The work will not be easy, but I embrace the opportunity to bring about positive change to make our state more affordable for everyone,” he said.

Danielsen was also named to the Assembly’s Education and Financial Institutions and Insurance committees. He has previously served on the Assembly’s Telecommunications and Technology Committee.

Danielsen mentioned his appointment to the Education Committee in comments he made at the Jan. 9 Board of Education meeting.

Danielsen said that he had been working with schools Superintendent John Ravally – and other education officials in the 17th District – to create a package of educational-oriented bills.
